Andrew T. Gentile, MD
Dr. Gentile is a board-certified vascular surgeon whose practice now focuses entirely on the treatment of venous disease, including venous insufficiency, varicose veins, DVT and venous stasis ulcers.
Education
Dr. Gentile was raised in Southern California and graduated with honors with degrees in both Biochemistry and Biology from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. He attended Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Gentile completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. He then completed a 2-year fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
History
After completing his specialty vascular training, he practiced Vascular Surgery in Tucson for five years and then moved back to Portland and joined Northwest Kaiser Permanente, practicing primarily at the Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital. He was Surgeon and Medical Director with Inovia Vein in Happy Valley. He has developed an expertise in comprehensive wound care and in treating complicated patients with deep venous obstruction and blood clotting in the legs.
